Project ECHO: Palliative Care in the Primary Care Clinic

Offered in Fall 2019, this ECHO provided expert support on palliative care in a virtual-learning network.

In partnership with USF AHEC, USF GWEP program, and United Healthcare Community Program FRHA hosted a Project ECHO series on integrating a Palliative Care in the Primary Care Clinic. 


Participants were able to:

  • Recognize appropriate patients for palliative care
  • Discuss how to have the Goals of Care conversation
  • Explain how to complete advances care planning
  • Discuss symptom management from the palliative care perspective
  • Use pharmacy dosing and safe practices in PC medications
  • Assess for behavioral health and cognitive status in palliative care settings
